Previously Coach Evans attended Mercer University, where he played on the Mercer University club soccer team while studying Computer engineering. Before that he played at Chattahoochee High School where he lettered in soccer three years (2006-2008) and was on the state runner up 2007 team. Also while he was there the Chattahoochee Varsity team won three straight region championships from 2006-2008. The Chattahoochee Varsity soccer team, at that time, also ended each of those three seasons ranked in the top 10 in AAAAA, achieved a national ranking as high as second, and ended the 2007 season with a top 20 national ranking.
He is a Georgia National D Licensed coach and coaches youth soccer at Buckhead FC in Atlanta. He has been a certified USSF Grade 8 referee since August 2002 and a GHSA (primarily GSOA and HGSOA association) soccer official since January 2010. Currently Coach Evans is studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology while trying to spread his love for the game.
